Good computer games for PC
While many popular games are designed for consoles such as the Xbox and PlayStation, most gamers still have many favourite games on their personal computers. PC games cover all genres, including life simulation, warfare and fantasy; here are three of the best.
EA Games introduced the first The Sims game for the PC in the year 2000. It ran in Windows and was a spinoff from the popular city-building simulation, Sim City. Tiny characters, called Sims, are guided through various daily tasks and situations where they interact with other Sims. The sequel, The Sims 2, followed in 2004 and this year has seen the release of The Sims 4.
Call of Duty
Call of Duty is a first-person shooter game that was published by Activision in 2003. It was set during the Second World War with the main character an infantry soldier. It was one of the first games to introduce computer-controlled allies that assist the player during battles. Later sequels moved away from WWII and placed the game in modern warfare settings.
World of Warcraft
World of Warcraft is a role-playing game that is set in a huge, multi-player online fantasy world. Players can choose from a range of characters and complete tasks and quests to gain skills and talents and earn virtual money and possessions. It is the most-played MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) in the world.
